Youth Education

Mid-weekChildren's Minitry
4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday

Grades 1-2

1st and 2nd grade students will begin to learn the basic Bible stories and the love of Christ for them. 

Grades 3-4
Teacher: Janelle Swenson

In grades 3 and 4 youth will continue exploring Bible stories and begin connecting those stories to their lives and family.

Students study lessons published by Concordia Publishing House and have supplemental Bible-based activities to begin their study to become confirmed in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. 

 

Grades 7-8 (Confirmation II)
Teacher: Pastor Jenks

When youth enter the 7th grade they enter into Catechism II with the 8th grade. Here they begin their two year journey through Luther’s Small Catechism. Exploring the chief parts and explanation. At the end of the two years, upon completion of all assignments, the youth are Confirmed. 

  Sunday School

Time: 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday

Each week the youth will go through a lesson from Concordia Publishing House “Growing in Christ” curriculum. Lessons are taught with activities and each week youth are given a leaflet to take home to continue their study. 

Middle School Bible Study

Time: 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday
Grades: 7 & 8
Instructor: Eric Phipps

This year the Middle School students will begin a new chapter at St. Paul’s. We will be implementing a new curriculum for the middle school. Each week the students will engage in age-appropriate activities that will help them experience the lesson point in fresh, fun and meaningful ways!

Time: 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday
Grades: 9 to 12
Instructors: Thomas and Lisa Wilson

Starting in the Fall of 2017 high school students will be diving deep into their Faith Formation: Lifelong and Ongoing. The high school youth will be studying Lutheran doctrine, what it means to follow Christ, and a deep study into Romans. All these wrapped into holding securely onto their faith, making their faith a lifelong and ongoing learning process. 

 

Adult EducationAdult Christian Education

Adult Bible Study

Time: 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday

On Sundays

This Bible study immediately follows the 9:30 Coffee Fellowship. Various topics are studied, with topics normally taking one to four weeks to cover. Many of these studies include small group discussions.

On Wednesdays

This group meets at 10:30 a.m. and studies a variety of topics from a Christian perspective. Topics range from contemporary issues to specific books of the Bible. The studies usually last from 4-8 weeks. Topics are chosen from suggestions offered by the group or the pastor.

Bibles are available for those who have not brought their own copy.

Parents Bible Study

Time: 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday

This is a Bible study parents can attend while their children are in Sunday school.

Men’s Bible Study

Time: 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.

The men select a book of the Bible and work through it.

Women’s Bible Study

Time: 5:45 to 7:00 p.m.  every Monday of the month (Sept – May).

The format of this study varies some from year to year depending on the current resource that has been selected.

Senior Fellowship

September to May on the 2nd Wednesday of the month after the Wed. morning Bible study (about 11:30 am).

Seniors bring a dish to share for lunch and have a short devotion.

SAFE (Safe And Friendly Environment)

To ensure that St. Paul Lutheran Church provides a safe and friendly environment for our children, youth, and dependent adults, the Board of Directors has approved the SAFE Policy and Procedures.

*All individuals (paid or volunteer, adult, or teenage) who work with children, youth, and/or dependent adults at St. Paul must attend training sessions to inform them about the SAFE Policy and Procedures.
